Charity: A Cornerstone of Our Lodge
Charity is one of the three great principles of Freemasonry. Croydon Lodge of Concord is proud to support our members, their families, and a wide range of local and national causes.
Friends of James Terry Court
James Terry Court is a residential care home in South Croydon, providing high-quality care for up to 76 residents. It is operated by the RMBI Care Co. Our Lodge, along with the Province of Surrey, actively supports the 'Friends of James Terry Court' to enhance the lives of residents by funding activities, equipment, and outings.
This partnership ensures that residents receive not just excellent care, but also opportunities for engagement, entertainment, and quality of life improvements that make a real difference in their daily experiences.

Teddies for Loving Care (TLC)
The TLC programme provides unique teddy bears to Accident & Emergency departments for medical staff to give to children who are in severe distress. A comforting teddy bear helps calm the child, making it easier for staff to provide urgent medical care.
This simple and effective initiative is funded by Freemasons and demonstrates how small acts of kindness can have a profound impact during some of life's most challenging moments. Each teddy bear represents hope, comfort, and the caring nature of our fraternity.

Masonic Charitable Foundation (MCF)
The Masonic Charitable Foundation is dedicated to transforming lives by creating opportunities, improving healthcare, advancing education, and promoting independence. As one of the largest grant-making charities in the country, the MCF provides vital funding for life-changing projects.
Freemasons contribute approximately £52 million to charitable causes each year - nearly £1 million every week - making Freemasonry one of the largest charitable contributors in the country. This funding supports medical research, youth welfare, disaster relief, and care for elderly Freemasons and their families.
What makes the Foundation truly remarkable is that it is funded entirely through the generosity of Freemasons and their families. Through compassion and generosity, the MCF continues to make a lasting impact - changing lives and strengthening communities across the nation and beyond.
